  • Personal injury Calculator information here…Personal injury Calculator information here…
In this informative attorney video, Bucks County accident lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., tells you exactly how to value your Pennsylvania personal injury case.
Determining fair compensation for an injury caused by someone else is a mystery to most injured victims of accidents and lawyers who do not practice personal injury law.  There is no magic calculator!  When you file a lawsuit against someone else or against a company, a judge or jury determines the fair value of compensation.  Judges and juries must use their own good judgment and their own experiences in life to determine an amount to compensate.
Personal injury lawyers use their experience and knowledge to determine the value personal injury cases for settlement purposes.  Many factors go into this skilled calculation including recent jury verdicts and settlements for similar injuries in your area.  Case specific factors also play a large part in valuing a Pennsylvania personal injury case.
The only way to get a good idea of what your case may be worth is to consult with an experienced and local personal injury lawyer.  Insurance companies may tell you that your case is worth a certain figure, but this value is usually a low-ball offer.  Don’t accept low-ball offers from auto insurance companies.  Insurance companies are in the business of saving as much money as possible, NOT PAYING YOU MONEY!
The Bucks County personal injury lawyers at Saile & Saile LLP are experienced in valuing personal injury cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Contact us for a FREE case valuation and download a FREE copy of our PA Car Accident Book for more information.
  • Are you suffering from a whiplash injury? Are you suffering from a whiplash injury?
Whiplash is an injury that is suffered in most Pennsylvania auto accidents. Whiplash occurs when the head is thrusted backward and forward due to the force of the crash. The neck muscles, ligaments and tendons are stretched, strained, and sometimes ripped during the whiplash motion.

The good news for auto accident victims is that whiplash injuries generally repair resolve themselves within a month or two after the accident. If you are still suffering severe pain in your neck (otherwise known as the cervical spine) months after your auto accident, you may have suffered a more severe injury such as a cervical disc herniation.

Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., is very experienced in helping injured New Jersey & Pennsylvania auto accident victims recover for their whiplash injuries. To learn more about recovering money compensation from a reckless driver who caused you a whiplash injury contact us or download a FREE copy of our PA Accident Book.

  • Don't Choose NJ Verbal Threshold Auto Insurance!Don't Choose NJ Verbal Threshold Auto Insurance!
In this instructional video, Mercer County NJ accident lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains what the term verbal threshold auto insurance means. NJ law requires all drivers to purchase auto insurance. In order to make auto insurance cheaper for NJ drivers the NJ legislature enacted the Verbal Threshold insurance law which basically restricts the rights of injured accident victims to sue a negligent driver for pain and suffering damages.

If you chose verbal threshold/limitation on lawsuit insurance in NJ, you basically must have a serious type of personal injury to be able to recover for your pain and suffering and other "non-economic" damages. You can still recover for lost wages, property damage, and other out-of-pocket costs.

We advise all of our clients and loved ones to review their auto insurance policies as soon as possible to check whether you inadvertently chose verbal threshold/limitation on lawsuit auto insurance. If you choose verbal threshold auto insurance, you may also bind family members who live in your household, including your young children.

At our New Jersey personal injury law firm, we offer FREE auto insurance reviews for New Jersey drivers. We represent injured people throughout both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

  • What is Limited Tort Auto Insurance in Pennsylvania? What is Limited Tort Auto Insurance in Pennsylvania?
In this instructional video, Bucks County accident lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains what the term limited tort auto insurance means. We advise all of our clients and loved ones to review your auto insurance policy as soon as possible to check whether you inadvertently chose limited tort auto insurance.

In order to save a couple hundred dollars a year, some drivers choose limited tort auto insurance. Limited tort restricts your right to sue for pain and suffering damages if you have been personally injured in a Pennsylvania auto accident. Basically, our PA courts require you to have a significant impairment of a bodily function in order to recover for your pain.  We advise our clients to choose FULL TORT auto insurance so that you can have the chance to recover for you personal injuries.

Many of our injured clients who inadvertently chose Pennsylvania limited tort auto insurance suffer in pain everyday and are forced to take pain medication every day but are not able to recover a dime for their pain and suffering because the courts have decided that their injuries are not serious enough to recover.

At our Bucks County personal injury law firm, we offer FREE auto insurance reviews for Pennsylvania and New Jersey drivers.  We represent injured people throughout PA & NJ.

  • PA Injury Lawyer: Do Not Speak with other Driver's Insurance CompanyPA Injury Lawyer: Do Not Speak with other Driver's Insurance Company
Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains that you should not speak with the other driver's auto insurance company after a Pennsylvania auto accident. Once an auto insurance company gets your contact information, an insurance company adjuster will attempt to contact you by telephone.

The other driver's auto insurance company will obtain your name, address, and telephone number from the police accident report. When the other driver's auto insurance company calls you, DO NOT answer your phone. If you do answer the phone, tell the other driver's auto insurance company adjuster that your PA personal injury attorney has specifically instructed you NOT TO SPEAK with them and that your car accident lawyer will be in contact with them shortly.

  • Bucks County Lawyer Warns Drivers to Buy Enough Car Insurance CoverageBucks County Lawyer Warns Drivers to Buy Enough Car Insurance Coverage
Bucks County attorney Michael L. Saile Jr. warns motorists regarding the reality of not having enough insurance coverage. Watch this video clip to understand the importance of having under insured and uninsured insurance coverage. The law firm of Saile & Saile LLP recently represented a 28-year-old woman who was involved in a Bucks County car accident. She was rear-ended by a teenager who only had $15,000 in liability coverage. Unfortunately, she sustained serious injuries and even went through hip surgery. She now walks with a cane, and the doctors tell us there is not too much they can do for her. Luckily, she had $100,000 in uninsured and under insured auto insurance coverage. However, our Bucks County injury lawyers still had to fight the insurance company for this money. We eventually took this case to litigation where we were able to recover both the $100,000 and the $15,000 for our client. The law firm of Saile & Saile LLP urges drivers to purchase enough uninsured and under insured insurance coverage in Bucks County. You never know if you are going to be involved in a severe car accident, or who is going to hit you. The other driver may have very little or no insurance coverage. Protect yourself and purchase enough insurance coverage. In a typical auto accident or personal injury case, a lawyer will often offer a contingency fee agreement. This means that you do not pay a lawyer for his or her services unless there is a recovery from the case. This is done because most people do not have emergency funds available to cover the high cost of legal fees. Who pays your medical bills if you are the victim of a New Jersey or Pennsylvania car or truck accident? Your auto insurance may cover your bills up to a certain dollar amount, depending on the state you live in. After that limit is exhausted, we look to your health insurance company to take over. Every plan is different, and it is always wise to make sure you have a good insurance plan before an accident occurs. If you do not have any health insurance or if it is not adequate, look into government benefits. If you are the victim of a Bucks County car or truck accident, you do not have to report it to the other person’s insurance company. A personal injury lawyer should make this report for you. The other insurance company should learn about the accident from the other driver or from the police report. • Personal Injury Lawyer explains Ryan Dunn's Fatal Accident & PA Dram Shop Law Personal Injury Lawyer explains Ryan Dunn's Fatal Accident & PA Dram Shop Law
Ryan Dunn Fatal Accident and Pennsylvania's Dram Shop Law

Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., discusses the recent fatal Pennsylvania accident involving Jackass TV star, Ryan Dunn and his passenger. The Pennsylvania personal injury lawyers at Saile & Saile LLP offer condolences to the Ryan Dunn and his passenger's family and friends.

While driving home from a West Chester, PA bar, Ryan Dunn's Porsche left the road the plowed into a wooded area killing both Mr. Dunn and his passenger. It was reported by the investigating police officers that Mr. Dunn's blood alcohol level (BAC) was over twice the legal limit in Pennsylvania.

    Pennsylvania's Dram Shop Law

In Pennsylvania, a liquor serving establishment may not serve a patron who is visibility intoxicated. If a bar does serve someone who is visibly intoxicated, the bar may be held responsible if the intoxicated person causes damages to other persons or property.

In Ryan Dunn's case, there was a photo of him drinking that was posted to his Twitter page prior to his fatal accident. In order to prove a Pennsylvania Dram Shop legal action against the West Chester bar, there would have be witness testimony presented in court to convince a judge or jury that the bartender continued to serve Mr. Dunn alcohol when Dunn showed outward signs of being drunk. If witnesses cannot credibly testify of Mr. Dunn's outward signs of intoxication, then the bar will not be held responsible for the fatal Pennsylvania accident.

To learn more about how to recover against a bar for serving someone who caused a fatal Pennsylvania accident, contact the Bucks County accident lawyers at Saile & Saile LLP for a FREE consultation.

In this instructional video, Bucks County personal injury attorney, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains that you should go to the hospital to be evaluated after an auto accident.  Auto accidents often cause neck and back injuries that may not cause immediate pain after the accident.

Although you may not feel initial pain, your personal injuries should be treated.  At the hospital, a nurse or doctor will evaluate you.  Then you may have to undergo x-rays and possibly a CAT-scan.  You may be prescribed medications for pain and muscle relaxers.   After you are treated, you will be given discharge instructions that will inform you about your injuries and what steps you should take as follow up care for your injuries.

  • Looking for Fair Personal Injury Legal Fees?Looking for Fair Personal Injury Legal Fees?
In this informative attorney video, Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains what a contingent fee agreement is, and why Saile & Saile LLP's contingent fee agreement, known as the Client First Fee Agreement, may be best for your Pennsylvania accident case.

You may have seen it on TV, No Recovery - No Fee

With a contingent fee agreement, you do not have to pay a PA personal injury lawyer unless there is a monetary recovery on your case. Contingent fee agreements are great for people who cannot afford the high cost of quality legal representation.

Saile & Saile LLP's Client First Fee Agreement is better than most legal fee agreements for the injured person. Most contingent fee agreement have a set percentage fee. In Pennsylvania contingent fee agreements range from 33% to up to 50% of your personal injury case recovery.

Our Client First Fee Agreement offers injured clients a lower percentage fee, if their case settles early. If the case requires more legal work, the contingent fee agreement percentage is higher. We think this is fair!  We believe that an injury attorney should only get paid for the work he or she does on your case, and NOT get a windfall if your case settles quick and easy.

  • Bucks County Personal Injury Lawyer Explains the Importance of a Daily JournalBucks County Personal Injury Lawyer Explains the Importance of a Daily Journal
Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., advises that all injured victims of Pennsylvania auto accidents should keep a daily journal. A daily journal is a notebook that should be kept with a page devoted to everyday from the date of your accident to the time your case is settled or goes to trial.

In your daily journal you should keep track of your pain levels each day. Be sure to write a full description of your pain such as dull, sharp, nagging, etc. Also keep track of the severity of your pain on a 0-10 scale.

In your personal injury daily journal, you should also keep track of the medication that you took that day, medical testing, and any doctors or therapists that you saw that day.

Most importantly keep track of your daily living activities each day. Keep track of the activities that you COULD NOT DO AT ALL do and the activities that you could do, but with extreme pain or limitation.

Pennsylvania personal injury lawyers can use your daily journal to help prove how the accident has truly affected your life. Daily journals are sometimes tedious, but they are a must in helping maximize your personal injury case recovery.

  • How to Recover Lost Income from a Pennsylvania Auto AccidentHow to Recover Lost Income from a Pennsylvania Auto Accident
In this "How to" video, Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains how you can recover lost income if you have missed work in Pennsylvania due to auto accident injuries.

If you miss time from work, you should get a note from your treating injury doctor stating that you should NOT be working. Then you should look to your auto insurance policy to see if you have lost wage coverage on your auto insurance policy. Next, you should check to see if you have any insurance benefits through any disability policies through your employer or other sources. Perhaps you purchased your own private disability policy?

You can always recover your lost wages from the party who caused the PA car accident, but it may take years to get your lost wage compensation from the other driver. Most insurance companies for people who cause accidents will not offer you compensation for lost wages or lost income unless and until you settle the entire personal injury case.

In this instructional video, Bucks County personal injury lawyer, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains that being "fully covered" really does not mean much in the legal world. Many of our injured clients tell us that they have "full coverage" auto insurance meaning that they are fully protected with sufficient auto insurance to cover all claims. Sadly, full coverage usually only means that you car is insured for property damage claims.

In reality, there is no way to guarantee that you are fully covered for all claims, but the best thing to do is to purchase as much auto insurance that you can afford. It is extremely important to protect yourself and your family members from uninsured and underinsured drivers. An uninsured driver could leave you permanently injured and your family financially devastated with nowhere to turn.

At our Bucks County personal injury law firm, we offer FREE auto insurance reviews for Pennsylvania and New Jersey drivers. We represent injured people throughout both states.

A common question that we get at our PA injury law firm is:

What taxes will I have to pay on my personal injury settlement?

In this instructional video, Bucks County personal injury attorney, Michael L. Saile, Jr., explains that in most PA auto accident cases, income taxes are NOT due on a personal injury settlement. In certain accident cases where the injured person receives compensation for lost income, that portion attributable to the lost income may be taxable. There are also other types of cases where settlement money may be taxable.

The Pennsylvania personal injury lawyers at Saile & Saile LLP represent injured victims of auto accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, and bicycle accidents. Our Pennsylvania injury law firm's office is conveniently located in lower Bucks County, PA, just north of Philadelphia.

Attorney Michael L. Saile Jr., of Saile & Saile LLP, shares a recent personal injury settlement his firm was able to help their client recover fair compensation. He explains more about the success of this settlement in this video clip. Our Bucks County law firm recently helped an injured female victim receive a settlement she deserves. Our client fell down in a movie theater, hit a chair on her way down, and sustained horrible nerve damage to her lower spine. As a result of this fall, she was forced to walk using a walker. The movie theater’s insurance company did not offer any money towards her damages. Our Bucks County personal injury lawyers got involved and filed a lawsuit. After three years and the case almost going to trial, we took this case before a mediator and received a six figure settlement for our client. Hiring an experienced Pennsylvania personal injury lawyer ensures that your needs are the main focus, such as your doctor’s bills, medical condition, and your well being. Insurance companies are out to save as much money as they can, and you will need a lawyer to stand up to them and fight for you.
