Speeding and careless drivers are the cause of many accidents in Richboro, PA

Richboro, PA is situated within Northampton Township, Bucks County. The roads on which most car accidents occur in Richboro are Newtown Richboro Road (Route 332), Almshouse Road, Second Street Pike (Route 232), Upper Holland Road, and Tanyard Road, but perhaps the road most popular for car accidents is Bustleton Pike.

The portion of Bustleton Pike which runs through Richboro is a hilly, narrow two-lane road with many windy curves and a posted speed limit of 35 mph. Many drivers take these hilly curves at high speeds.

Not only do drivers cause car accidents with other vehicles on Bustleton Pike, but speeding on Bustleton Pike also results in single car accidents, often fatal or causing severe personal injury, with drivers crashing into guard rails, light posts, bridges over creeks, and embankments.

Most car accidents which occur here are caused by excessive speed, passing on the right, and aggressive driving.

"Downtown" Richboro is quite congested. This congestion has been the cause of many Bucks County car accidents. There is a very active intersection at the crossroads of Newtown Richboro Road (Route 332) and Second Street Pike (Route 232). There are left arrow turning lanes on each of the four sides of the intersections with right-on-red turns permitted at each corner.

There are commercial establishments at each corner in Richboro, PA, including two gas stations and a shopping center. There is always traffic entering the parking lots of these businesses and, likewise, exiting their parking lots and entering the intersection, often times without caution, therefore, causing car accidents.

Other car accidents occur at this intersection of Route 332 and Route 232 due to drivers running red lights and not yielding to oncoming traffic when making right-on-red turns.
The speed limit on the whole length of Tanyard Road is 25 mph as it is solely a residential road. This restricted speed does not sit well with most residents. You will, therefore, find many drivers passing the law abiding citizens driving at 25 mph. While car accidents are not prevalent on Tanyard Road, speeding drivers do run the risk of hitting and injuring a pedestrian or a cyclist on this road.
