Why do you say that I may NOT need an injury lawyer for my accident case?

A: Other injury lawyers may find it SHOCKING when we say that you may NOT need an injury lawyer for your case. On this injury website, we strive to provide you with useful and TRUTHFUL information about injury law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are not in the business of pleasing other injury lawyers. The law does not require you to have an injury lawyer pursue your PA or NJ injury case. In fact, there are certain types of accident cases where it may be beneficial NOT to hire a personal injury lawyer.

Some accidents involve minimal injuries or just property damage. In these types of smaller cases, it may not be advantageous for you to hire an NJ or PA injury lawyer to attempt to recover money for you. Injury lawyers typically charge 1/3 up to 50% of the injury case's recovery.

If your injuries are minimal or
only your vehicle is damaged,
why lose (to a lawyer) at least 1/3
of what is due to you?

If your car is totaled, auto insurance companies use local auction sale prices to value your vehicle. An injury lawyer may be able to negotiate you a little more money for your car OR YOU may be able to do so yourself. You may end up paying an injury lawyer more than he or she may be able to get for you.

Certainly, if you are seriously injured in an accident, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you consult with and retain an experienced personal injury lawyer. The more serious your injuries (or what lawyers call damages), the more you should think about hiring an injury attorney.

MOST INJURY LAWYERS WILL GIVE
YOU A FREE CONSULTATION.

If you are not sure whether or not to hire an injury lawyer for your case, schedule a FREE consultation with a local personal injury attorney. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and educate yourself about the insurance claims process in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Auto insurance companies often take advantage of innocent accident victims who are inexperienced.
