Should I sign the papers from the insurance company adjuster?

A: If you are injured in the Philadelphia area, an auto insurance company will attempt to contact you either by telephone or by mail. The insurance company adjuster may also request that you give them a recorded statement. DO NOT give a recorded statement until you have spoken with an experienced Philadelphia area injury attorney.

The auto insurance adjuster may also ask you to "sign a few forms" or "sign an authorization".

DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! You have no duty under the law to sign anything without having the chance to have an experienced injury attorney look over what you are signing.

We have had many people call our office telling us that they signed some papers for the insurance company. Unfortunately, these people completely signed away their personal injury case. Insurance companies will do whatever it takes to minimize or eliminate your claim, including asking you sign RELEASES just days after your injury, when you still have no idea about the extent or severity of your injuries.

Consultations with Philadelphia area injury lawyers are usually FREE. In order to help injured victims from being taken advantage of by an insurance company, we have written a Pennsylvania injury guidebook. You can download a free copy on this Philadelphia injury website. If you have further questions, you can utilize our injury attorney chat feature or submit your injury case to us to set up a free consultation meeting.

DO THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN ANY PAPERS OR SPEAK WITH AN INSURANCE COMPANY.
